A key addition is automated “Received” email notifications, allowing laboratories to confirm sample receipt instantly. These messages link directly to the relevant Samples and Batches, improving transparency for clients, reducing manual follow-ups, and strengthening end-to-end sample tracking.
The release continues Bika’s commitment to a modern, maintainable, and standards-aligned LIMS architecture, balancing long-term reliability with the flexibility required by real-world laboratory workflows.
Bika LIMS 4.1 is distributed as a Docker image, ensuring fast, consistent installation and simplified upgrades across development, testing, and production environments.
